Your holiday haven is directly in the biotope of the large Lago di Monticolo/Montiggler See lake. Here, you can relax at our lake house, enjoy a picnic, and simply be. If you wish, you can reserve our rowing boat for a romantic outing. A canoe and stand-up paddle boards are also available for you to use. You can also reach the small Lago di Monticolo/Montiggler See lake in around another 10 minutes’ walk, where you can soak up the soothing peace of nature.

You can reach Lago di Caldaro/Kalterer See lake with its four lidos in around a 20-minute drive. Children are always especially fascinated by the beauty of the water. With its southerly wind, it’s simply perfect for sailing and surfing. Of course, you can also sit back and enjoy the splashing of the water or stroll through the beautiful vineyards and apple orchards.

Whether it’s in our rowing boat, a canoe, or on a stand-up paddle board, there are so many ways to enjoy being near the water – including diving in for a refreshing dip. You can do this with peace of mind here with us, because the Laghi di Monticolo/Montiggler Seen lakes have been nominated the cleanest bodies of water in the region. You can use the changing rooms, shower, and toilet in our private lake house free of charge.

Explore the two Laghi di Monticolo/Montiggler Seen lakes with our own rowing boats, which you can borrow for free as part of our inclusive services. At the large lake, you’ll find our yellow and blue rowing boat accommodating up to four people, and a second rowing boat for up to three people.

Simply reserve the boats at the reception of Gartenhotel Moser. Upon request, we will be happy to prepare a picnic basket for romantic outings as a couple on the lake!

Fishing fun

Fishing fans are in their element at both the small and large Lago di Monticolo/Montiggler See lake. Our large rowing boat is available at the large lake for all fishers, swimmers, and nature lovers – free of charge. The lakes are home to pike, perch, tench, eels, carp, and more.

Please note that you need a licence to be able to fish in the Laghi di Monticolo/Montiggler Seen lakes. You can purchase this at the tourist office.

Rafting and canyoning

With its unique streams and rivers, South Tyrol offers plenty of opportunities for action fans to paddle through the landscape at various difficulty levels. Some of the rafting tours available in South Tyrol are also suitable for children.
